HOW TO SUPPORT US?
Mom Central library is not funded by government and operate as a non-profit. The operating cost incurred are shared among library users via library membership, classroom rental, and its programs. There are different ways you can support us: 1. By enrolling in our library membership 2. By enrolling in our classes or events 3. By donating your used English books 4. By donating money / snacks/ toys 5. By renting the room to conduct classes or small gathering 6. By volunteering your time & talent 7. By spreading the words around about Mom Central We offer cross promotion opportunity for companies who sponsor the library in any ways. Please contact us for further discussion. VOLUNTEER Those who prefer to inspire others through less structured activity can volunteer by being: a. Storyteller - reading stories during Play Date, Open House, or other events b. Play date Host - welcoming members and lead the session based on our guide sheet c. Inspired Moms Host - welcoming guest & helping to facilitate discussion d. Moms Study Group Facilitator - facilitating session based on the guide book or DVD e. Marketing / Public Relation - promoting our events and spread the word around Commitment is still required from volunteers for that particular session If you'd like to volunteer for something not listed above, just send us email. We can do something together! At Mom Central, we are all friends serving friends. |
BOOKS DONATION
We only can accept English books. Books must be in excellent condition (not torn, too old, or moldy). Books drop-off can be done at anytime during open hours. Currently we do not take in adult fiction books. SNACKS DONATION Feel free to bring fresh snacks during sessions to share with your new friends. Dry snacks can be accepted as long as it is at least 2 months away from the expiry date. TOYS DONATION We accept those that are in excellent or like-new condition only, and those that are washable or wipe-able. CASH DONATION Cash donation will be used to cover space rental expense, utilities, office supplies, maintenance, and purchase of good books when a good deal comes up. (Yes, the library space, the AirCon use during hot summer or freezing winter and the super-clean ayi we hire do cost money. We can't pay them with used books) |
